I have had what you might describe as “a checkered past”. Former elementary school teacher, museum curator, orchestral musician, antiques dealer, and now, restorer of oil paintings. You decide which is red and which is black?
I studied restoration in Europe and worked in London for a time before returning to The United States.
Steve and I started our restoration studio over 35 years ago. At that time, it was combined with the sale of fine antiques. We imported 40 foot containers of antiques and paintings from Europe on a regular basis.
The sale of antiques diminished with time and changing tastes. With that change, we began to emphasize the sale of paintings and restoration.
Now, we only make it to Europe twice a year, buying only paintings.
Combining those European trips with the work we buy regionally, we are able to offer an extensive selection of art that is always changing.
